In cleaning up my desk, I put my tarot deck away and just realized that I forgot one card - the Knight of Swords! So he was just sitting there on my desk... Generally, the KoS means fast movement, possibly relating to some intellectual pursuit. I'm hoping it means that I'll fly through the four grants I have to turn in before the end of March!
Well, I've recently gotten 2 new tarot decks: the Epicurian Tarot Deck and the Tapestry Tarot. The Epicurian Tarot is a recipe card tarot deck that's fun for novelty - I wouldn't use it for a reading, but the recipes look pretty good! The Tapestry Tarot is very pretty, and actually my mother-in-law bought it for me when we went to a used bookstore this weekend. Its very pretty, and I've never seen the deck before, ever, so that's pretty cool.
I've had terrible back pain the last couple days, so I'm going to do a quick 2-card reading about it. The first card will be the cause of the problem, and the second card will be treatment. Here goes:
Cause: Knight of Pentacles
Treatment: Eight of Swords
Hmmm... Well, the cause seems pretty obvious, at least. The Knight of Pents is a card of slow movement. I think it means that I need to start exercising again - which I did tonight! Maybe I'll try to do some yoga, too, in addition to walking every day. But the 8 of Swords is a hard card to read in this case, it shows a woman standing on a rocky beach blindfolded with her arms bound, barefoot, and surrounded by swords. (What kind of treatment is that?!) Its a card of uncertanty and being blinded by emotions...
By the way, for everyone that yells at me for not updating my blog often enough, David is setting up www.photogrove.com as a family blog for us. I'll probably post more often there, because I won't feel bad about going on and on about the non-tarot aspects of my life there.
